This Creepy Thriller
Scott Derrickson's claustrophobic thriller remains effective without requiring a continuation. Located in the late 70s in Denver, multiple kidnappings has left the children anxious. This Dramatic Portrait
In the battle between faith and wealth, the winner is obvious for materialism in this director's delightfully tacky biopic regarding the shamed religious broadcaster plus her lawbreaking partner. Andrew Garfield plays the corrupt Bakker, who proclaims early on, “God does not want us to be poor,”. The couple commence monetising the people's religious faith. It's an extravaganza of bad interior design, overdone appearance and insincerity, yet the lead actress succeeds to show Tammy Faye with compassion. Tuesday 14 October, 1.15am, on Film4
